Who Is Dr. Juggles?
Dr. Juggles is Dr. Bradley Harrelson.
Dr. Juggles is actually a real dentist. Right now, he is serving as a Captain in the United States Air Force at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. That is really close to Mount Rushmore; maybe, you can find that on a map. There most people call him Dr. Harrelson or Captain Harrelson; but every now and then, someone will slip in a Dr. Juggles. I received my D.M.D. (dentist degree) from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in Jackson, MS. He got his name during his first year there. Some of the professors call students Dr. Harrelson, for instance, to go ahead and establish that they are professional students and should uphold that standard in their performance and ethics. So, since Bradley sometimes juggles things around the school, one of his classmates, Matt Milner, jokingly referred to him as Dr. Juggles and the name stuck. Bradley picked up juggling so that he could have a method to grab people’s attention and consequently speak with them about God and/or oral health. Dr. Juggles is now a member of the International Jugglers Association and the Christian Jugglers Association. Bradley takes his oath of office to the United States Air Force on December 11, 2003, before Dr. Buchanan, UMC Academic Dean/Retired Colonel U.S. Army. In December 2003, Bradley received a Health Professions Scholarship from the Air Force to assist with his dental school tuition and living expenses. As mentioned above, he now serves as a captain in the USAF Dental Corps. To find out more about the Air Force, go to www.airforce.com. Prior to dental school, Bradley served as the clinic director of a non-profit Christian community dental clinic that attempted to solve access to care problems by providing services to uninsured patients of Mississippi through the donated services of volunteer dentists. Mission First Medical and Dental Clinic parallels most dental offices in the state with its new equipment and care for patients. Mission First attempts to carry out the vision of restoring lives one tooth at a time. This restoration comes through spiritual and emotional restoration for the soul and mind as well as composite and alloy restorations for the teeth. Bradley’s purpose for stepping away from his ministry at the community clinic was to better prepare himself to meet the physical needs of hurting people through the skill of dentistry. Bradley plans to couple this with his prior seminary training, from the Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary where he received his Masters of Divinity, so that he can more effectively restore lives one tooth at a time as he treats the whole person, regardless of who they are. Because the ministry of Mission First is so special to Bradley, he is committed to donating a portion of all the proceeds from performances and products to further the ministry of Mission First. To find out more about Mission First please visit www.missionfirst.org. Prior to seminary, Bradley also had experience in the ministry as the youth pastor at the First Baptist Church of San Francisco from 1996-1999. He also served as a Bible study leader for Centrifuge youth camps in Glorieta, New Mexico(1995) and Panama City Beach, Florida(1996). In 1997, Bradley served as the camp pastor of the Mission Fuge camp in West Palm Beach, Florida. Abbie and Logan encourage Dad as he gets ready to head back to dental school! He was only eight years older than many of his classmates. When not working on teeth, Bradley enjoys spending time with his wife(Kasey), his 10 year old daughter(Abbie), his 6 year old son(Logan), and his 4 year old son(Colby). Kasey is not only an excellent wife but is also an excellent athlete. Kasey was a full scholarship athlete at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, from 1993-1995 and at The Master’s College in Santa Clarita, California, from 1995-1998. Kasey is such a good athlete that she once beat Bradley in a one on one basketball game while she was 7 months pregnant with their first child. They haven’t really played one on one basketball since that day for the sake of Bradley’s self esteem. Kasey has worked with the children’s ministries of several churches including First Baptist Jackson, MS; McLean Bible Church in McLean, Virginia (just outside Washington, DC); and Fountain Springs Community Church in Rapid City, South Dakota. Kasey often travels with Dr. Juggles to assist him by leading worship. Kasey and Bradley have three wonderful children: Abbie, Logan, and Colby.
